Now there’s a way to mark your birthday in style: an earthquake. Was sitting here, minding my own business at 4.35am when it hit. Centred in Christchurch but still very strong here in Invercargill, a 7.1 magnitude. Not that anyone else in my house noticed it. Even Seymour the Wonder Cat didn’t wake up.
