Like many blokes, my my well-insured husband snores. However, he who is well-insured (hereinafter known as HWIWI) is pretty talented at the whole thing, able to be heard from one end of the house to the other when he’s in peak snoring mode.
When he inhales it sounds like he’s trying to inhale the curtains and exhaling is even worse.
You see, there ARE good reasons for my drinking habits.
But I digress. This isn’t about my talents, it’s about the talents of HWIWI and others like him.
As much as the snoring habits of HWIWI bother me, I’ve never considered calling the cops. I mean really, what could they do? Arrest him for disturbing the peace? Breaching noise bylaws? Blanket hogging? Okay, that’s a whole other story so back to the snoring.
Besides, it’s not like he’s doing it on purpose, or with any sort of conscious effort. Being annoying is just something that comes naturally to most husbands.
A woman in South Carolina called the cops after her husband’s snoring got the better of her. First, she made him go sleep in another room after the noise of his snoring kept her awake (oh yes, I can relate to that).
However, she could still hear his snoring (and yes, I can relate to that, too). This drove her to have a bit of a tantrum and she stormed into the other bedroom, hurled a bit of abuse at hubby and threatened to call the cops. A threat she followed through.
The cops didn’t lay any charges.
