The Victoria University of Wellington Student Association said no to the opportunity to lay a wreath at Anzac Day commemorations.
The reason? Apparently, they reckoned taking part would mean they were condoning war.
Have any of these idiots ever even been to an Anzac Day service? Do they have any idea of our country’s history? Anzac Day services don’t glorify or condone war, they remember the fallen and those serving now, including our peacekeepers. They recognise our history and look to our future.
It seems a lot of students aren’t particulary happy with the decision of the association and have been pretty vocal about it. Good on them for speaking out.
