Try out the online hot seat

If you’re one of those armchair quiz show contestants who likes to sit at home yelling at your TV screen as the poor sods doing it for real try to make their fortune, you might like to try out some of the games online.

The old favourite Who Wants To Be A Millionaire gives you the chance to try out the hot seat and answer your way to the elusive $1 million at Millionaire TV. Oh, and to see how it’s done in real life, check out this clever little pixie:

You can also take the truly awful Deal or No Deal for a test drive. Fans of the ever-smiley Jason Gunn also have a chance to have a crack at the Rich List.

The closest I get to televised competition is trying to hit pause on the DVD at the right moment when I’m playing back Two and a Half Men. You see, Chuck Lorre (the man behind my favourite comedy) has a vanity card at the end of almost every episode. These vanity cards are sometimes jokes, often digs at TV reviewers and occasionally just his thoughts on life.
