Love them or hate them, gadgets are here to stay and it seems we certainly hate a few of the more common ones.
Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper has published a story on the high-tech gadgets we hate and, not surprisingly, speed cameras — the only known predator here in New Zealand — topped the list.
What did surprise me was that alarm clocks only made fourth place on the list.
Even more surprising was that automated telemarketing calls made it no higher than No 8 on the list (any telemarketing call, automated or otherwide, drives me nuts) and those awful automated phone menus that leave you going around in circles, never finding the person you want to speak to (or any real person, for that matter) were languishing at No 11.
