Sure, our weather isn’t always tropical but we avoid most of the worst extremes other places have: it still makes the news if it snows here, we have droughts but things stay green and we don’t have the sort of humidity that make slighty curly-haired people like me cringe as our hair suddenly turns into something frizzy and frightening.
And we have spectacular scenery like this, the beach at Fortrose, just a short drive from our whitebait hut.
I initially took the photo to test the camera on my new cellphone and have decided that even after shrinking the image considerably that it’s pretty good quality AND that it’s really hard to take bad photos of Southland’s scenery. Even for someone as camera-challenged as me!
