I see Roman Polanski has been accused of rape again. Must be time for the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences to bestow another Oscar on him.
Or maybe he’s due for another Golden Globe, or a Bafta? How sick is it that this man (for want of a better word) got to skip town after he admitted drugging and raping a child. And yes, I know that “technically” it wasn’t officially rape because he admitted the slightly less “bad” charge of unlawful sex with a minor so he could receive a probation-only sentence, but the cowardly sack of shite skipped town anyway. And sex with someone who has been drugged is still morally rape: no consent given, then it’s rape. And that minor was a child. A 13-year-old child.
Anyway, Polanski has been accused of raping a French actress when she was 18. I wonder if he was a good boy between those assaults or if there is more dirt still to come?
To be honest, his year as a fugitive, his admission of his crime … those things should have made him ineligible for any accolades. But hey, America loves its sexual predators! If they aren’t giving them awards, they are electing them to the oval office (I’m looking at you Donny the draft dodger).
Yuck.
