No 3D for royal wedding

I see the rumoured plan to broadcast the Prince William and Kate Middleton’s April 29 wedding in 3D have been chucked out by Buckingham Palace — which is, I’m sure, something of a relief for all those of a nervous disposition.

Really, could you imagine the trauma of Prince Charles’ ears in 3D?

I’m guessing I’m not getting an invite to the shindig, since time is marching on and I haven’t received a gilt-edged invitation in the mail as yet, which is also something of a relief. I mean, what wedding gift do you buy for the couple who can afford a wedding of such epic proportions? A set of pots from Briscoes just doesn’t cut it, does it?

Although, the Warehouse does have sheets on special and I spotted one of those lovely Kiwiana tea towels on Trade Me the other day … all cardboard-like linen with a map of New Zealand printed on it.
