Kiwi singer-songwriter Aly Cook needs your help.

Her latest song, Country Storm, is featured in the voting section of the New Country Star website. Click on the vote button, then scroll down to find her track.

After you vote, you’ll be able to see how she’s doing — the more votes she gets, the more exposure.

Before I go any further, I feel I should offer a disclaimer. Bill Clinton says he didn’t inhale so I’d like to categorically state that I didn’t tap my foot. Not once. Not even a little bit.

I’m really not a fan of country music but her song sounded pretty okay and I didn’t hear any mention of horses in the lyrics. That’s high praise indeed, coming from someone who would rather clean the oven that listen to horse opera.

In fact, the only music of this genre I’ve listened to in recent years is the Stand By Your Man segment in The Blues Brothers movie and the odd time when I haven’t been quick enough to hit the fast-forward button during the credits for McLeod’s Daughters.
But I digress.

Go vote for Aly and, after you’ve voted, have a look at her own website.
